I am delighted to welcome you to the Great Cornard Upper School & Technology College website.

We are proud of the school and the educational opportunities it provides. We all work together for the benefit and long term success of our students with parents, staff and governors all playing their part.

We are keen to ensure that all students are viewed as individuals - with different ambitions, abilities and interests. Our simple aim is for all of them to achieve their best in lessons and beyond. Academic achievement is important but so is active participation in the community through sport and recreation, the arts, voluntary and charity work and the many other opportunities we provide.

We have high expectations in terms of work, dress and behaviour. Traditional values of respect, politeness and courtesy are important and contribute to the strong relationships that are formed here.

We are a progressive school looking for continuous improvement. We are part of the national specialist school initiative, designated as a Technology College. As such we offer specialist facilities and teaching in Mathematics, Science, Design Technology and Information Communications Technology. However, technology touches every area of modern life including sports and the arts. Technology is used as a tool to enhance learning in all areas of the curriculum.
