Great Cornard Upper School has achieved Healthy School Status as a result of the National Healthy Schools Programme.

The National Healthy Schools Programme is a long term initiative that helps young people and their schools to be healthy. It aims to make a difference to the health and achievement of young people in thousands of schools across England.It is cross curricular, encompassing PSHE, Healthy Eating, PE and Emotional Health and Wellbeing.


This section will enable pupils, staff and parents to access information on healthy eating and healthy living. The content is designed to be accessible to everyone. Simple and clear guidelines lead on to more detailed information, and for greather depth of understaing, links will take the user to other websites - which have detailed sections on health eating for children and teenagers, with ideas for receipes and alternative choices to make meals healthier. There are quizzes and games to ehance your learning.
